- Select Grade: Ash hardwood flooring comes from the eastern half of the United States. The heartwood is brown and the sapwood is light colored, or nearly white. Tight even grain produces a very formal elegant look to any ash wide plank floors. It is heavy, strong, hard, and has a high resistance to shock. Its principal uses are cabinets, furniture, decorative veneer, millwork and hardwood flooring.
- Country Grade: For an antique country look character grade, with a variety of knots and defects, can be enhanced even more by skip planning and distressing the wood on site. Undesirable defects can also be removed on the job site.
